The Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) is having their annual conference from Nov 15 – Nov 18 in Phoenix, AZ. This is one of the larger events for diversity in STEM and this year’s theme is “Investing in the Future”. While originally focused on undergraduate students, ABRCMS has expanded to include scientists at all career stages. Accordingly, the 2nd iteration of the ABRCMS Graduate Student Symposium will precede the conference. Graduate students receive more professional development, learn about programs, and present their research. The backend of the conference will be overlapped by the American Society for Microbiology Conference for Undergraduate Educators (ASMCUE). If registered, ABRCMs attendees can attend the last 2 days of ASMCUE. SCHEQ will be looking forward to meeting with our colleagues, mentoring judging, moderating one of the Cancer Biology oral presentation sessions, and speaking on a career panel.
