Dr. Manley appeared on Season 1 Episode 9 of the National Cancer Institute’s (NCI) Inside Cancer Careers Podcast hosted by Dr. Oliver Bogler on July 20, 2023. Dr. Bogler is the Director of the Center for Cancer Training at the NCI. He oversees NCI’s training and career development programs, which prepare scientists both within NCI (intramurally) and around the country (extramurally) to advance cancer research.
The first season of the Inside Cancer Careers podcast delved into the fascinating realm of cancer research training with a focus on bringing a new generation of investigators into the field. The podcast employed a human-interest approach where guests discuss their personal experiences throughout their career journey, including when they transitioned to an independent position.
