Dr. Manley was interviewed by Jamie Hemmings of Authority Magazine as part of their Inspirational Black Men and Women in Medicine series in February of 2023. His interview was entitled: Inspirational Black Men and Women in Medicine: Eugene Manley of LUNGevity Foundation On 5 Things You Need To Create A Successful Career In Medicine. In this interview they discussed his upbringing, interest in science and medicine, leadership traits, diversity in medicine and why it is important, barriers to diversity, and reflected on what he wish he had known when he started his career and training.
